My role as marketing communications manager for Bloomington Public Schools (MN) encompases content and editorial strategy, earned and paid media, social media and websites. My background includes more than 25 years of experience creating compelling communications, building brand awareness and engaging diverse communities in healthcare, higher education and public schools settings. With the launch of a K-12 online school option during the pandemic, our district worked to differentiate our program with an emphasis on computer science. As project lead I coordinated planning and implementation between our educational innovation team, our website developers and an integrated marketing/PR firm. The project included naming, branding, SEO, digital and print promotional materials, Google Adwords, and paid and shared social media strategy.
