President | Jessica Morgan, Sunnyside School District
Why she's running for president
WSPRA has had a huge impact on her career in school public relations. The professional development she has received has been invaluable, but it is the network of people that she can call on when she needs help, inspiration, or a commiserating ear, that encouraged her to step into the role of President once more. Her goal is to continue the work of the Board in delivering excellent conferences that fit the needs of WSPRA members and further the efforts of building our membership.
Jessica Morgan is a 12-year veteran of school public relations. She began her career in community relations at Heritage University, moved to Pasco School District as part of a four-person public information team, before taking on her current position leading all communications efforts for the Sunnyside School District. She has served as WSPRA President (2019-2020) and is currently serving as Rotary President for the Sunnyside Rotary Club. She has presented several times at WSPRA conferences and for other education associations in the areas of social media, school safety and crisis communications, multilingual communications, public perception and customer service. She earned a degree in Public Relations from Central Washington University. She loves reading, traveling, and it's been rumored that she will occasionally pick up a microphone and drop some rhymes at WSPRA karaoke nights.
