    Personal Bio:

Erin Zacharda has served as Director of Communication in the Monroe School District for six years and as the Vice President Elect of Finance for WSPRA for the past year. During her tenure in Monroe, Erin is most proud of her work surrounding the rebranding of the district, which included the creation of a new district logo, completely new public website and staff intranet, new community publications, and the launch of district and school social media channels.

Skilled in sharing important information in simple, visually appealing ways, Erin and her team have won several awards both locally (WSPRA) and nationally (NSPRA) for their community publications, special purpose publications and district website. Erin prides herself on being a creative, flexible, organized professional who is an eager learner and has an appetite for new challenges.

With a bachelor’s degree in Communication from Washington State University, a master’s degree in Education from City University, and six years of teaching experience in the Lake Washington School District under her belt, Erin fully understands the complexities and importance of effective communication in public education. As a parent of middle school triplets (two boys and one girl), she also has first-hand knowledge of parents’ and students’ communication needs and how to effectively reach them.

When she’s not working, you can find Erin on the sidelines of her kids’ many athletic activities, tackling creative home improvement projects, hunting for vintage home decor, and obsessing over her golden retriever.
