NSPRA + SEATTLE = Coming 2024!
Save the date! The National School Public Relations Association is officially bringing its National Seminar to Washington state in July 2024! We are so excited to announce that NSPRA has selected the Hyatt Regency Bellevue as the official conference hotel.
NSPRA Seminar
July 14-17, 2024
Bringing the national seminar to our region has been a long time coming. WSPRA Executive Board members started campaigning for it during the 2014 seminar in Baltimore. More than six years later, thousands of buttons, hundreds of cookies, one Twitter account and several heart-to-heart discussions, we are so excited to see our dream become a reality!
You may be wondering… Why Bellevue?
When the NSPRA Executive Board began negotiations with hotels in our region, it was quickly discovered that Bellevue is a more affordable option to not only host a conference, but also for members to stay. We support NSPRA’s decision to be fiscally responsible, especially during this time.
We believe Bellevue will offer members in our region and across the country a top-notch seminar experience. The Hyatt Regency Bellevue is centrally located in Bellevue. It’s across the street from Bellevue Square, a 4-minute walk to the Bellevue Arts Museum and a 7-minute walk to The Bravern. The hotel is surrounded by dozens of restaurants, shopping and loads of entertainment.
In 2024, the Hyatt will also be three blocks away from the new Bellevue Light Rail Station, where members can hop on for a convenient ride to downtown Seattle or SeaTac Airport.
The WSPRA Board is extremely committed to the success of the 2024 Seminar. We anticipate numerous opportunities for WSPRA members to serve and lead as we prepare for the national seminar. Please be on the lookout for information in the coming months about volunteering for the planning committee.
Finally, thank you to all past and current WSPRA Board members who have worked tirelessly over the past six years to make this announcement possible. The return of the NSPRA Seminar to the Pacific Northwest after a 29-year absence is a testament to the unrelenting commitment, out-of-the box negotiations and passion of our WSPRA leaders.
It’s always a great day to be a WSPRA member, but today is especially exciting. We are #WSPRAProud.
In gratitude,
Curtis Campbell, NW Region VP, NSPRA
