Thank you to our outgoing board members!
While on the WSPRA Board, Melissa Laramie has served as VP of Communications and the three President positions. Melissa's leadership took our organization to new heights in not only membership but conference attendance and partnership opportunities. She challenged us as a board to step out of our comfort zones and question what we as individuals represent and what we want WSPRA to represent within our state and on a national scale. Melissa played a key role in working to bring NSPRA to Seattle in the near future, all while leading one of the largest districts in our state. We are fortunate to model her strategic thinking, focus on equity, and non-stop push for excellence as we move forward with the new challenges we will face as we navigate our new normal. Thank you, Melissa, for all you have done for WSPRA and in your role as a school communicator.
Leanna Albrecht has served in both finance roles for the last several years. Under Leanna’s leadership, WSPRA has never been more financially stable. She transitioned our organization to a new membership platform that allows members to pay dues and event registrations in a single location. This not only makes it easier for members to manage their membership, but it also makes it easier for the board to track and manage finances. Leanna has also worked very closely with our sponsors over the last several years. She is a true cheerleader, encouraging everyone on the board to be and do their best. She has a servant’s heart and we’re grateful for her leadership. Leanna’s consistent presence on the board will be dearly missed.
